Rotary International. Member of The Rotary Club of Copenhagen since 1988. Began meeting with other expat rotarians in Beijing in 1996 in what later became the Rotary Club of Beijing.

Established The Queen Isabella Foundation in Madrid in 2002. The Foundation promotes Danish cultural events in Spain. Chairman of the board, 2002-04, and since then member of the board. 

Languages: English, French, German and Spanish and a certain knowledge of Chinese (Mandarin). 

Interests: Music – has played clarinet and saxopone for many years. Scuba diving, potography, IT and genealogy.
